Tyler Consolidated traveled over to North Marion high school on Friday evening for the annual United Mine Workers Husky Invitational track meet to compete against some of the top runners in the state. Teams in Class A through Class AAAA competed with 18 teams and over 300 of the top athletes taking part.

The Knights scored in the men’s 100 meter dash with MMaddox Corley finishing eighth among the top runners with a time of 11.76.

Amos Kimble finished seventh in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:04.83. The Knights Travis Moore came in third in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:33.94. In the 3200 meter run Kimble finished second with a time of 9:35.25. Fairmont senior Landon Jones won the event with a time of 9:27.77. Tyler’s Travis Moore was fifth in a time of 10:02.73.

The Silver Knights Lellan Dalrymple finished second in the 110 meter high hurdles with a time of 16.27. University’s Kaleil Lewis won the event with a time of 14.85. Dalrymple finished in the 300 meter low hurdles with a time of 42.54.

The Silver Knights 4×100 team came in third with a time of 46.53 from a team of Jacob Henderson, Jonathan Kelly, Maddox Corley, and Gideon Winfrey. The same team finished fifth in the 4×200 meter relay with a time of 1:36.80.

The Silver Knights 4×800 meter relay team of Travis Moore, Kayden Utt, Brody Nice, and Amos Kimble finished second in the event with a time of 8:31.15 University won the event in a time of 8:23.55.

Tyler’s Israel Winfrey finished eighth in the Discus throw with a throw of 117-07.

The Knights got a first place win in the Long Jump from Gideon Winfrey with a leap of 20-07.50.

In the mixed 4×100 meter relay Tyler took sixth place with a team of Israel Winfrey, Chloe Dutton, Zoe Fisher, and Luke Moore in a time of 1:10.70.

In the Women’s 100 meter dash the Silver Knights Kathryn Grimm finished seventh in a time of 13.49. Ayo Buerger of Tyler finished eighth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:02.71.

In the 100 meter high hurdles Tyler’s Addison Blosser came in fifth with a time of 17.34.

The Knights 4×100 meter relay team finished sixth in a time of 53.64 from a team of Octavia Studenic, Andi Fiber, Addison Blooser, and Kathryn Grimm. The Knights 4×800 meter relay team of Mya Fetty, Amber Ebert, Leah Brightwell, and Lily Haught finished eighth with a time of 12:13.45.

Tyler’s Ayo Buerger was third in the shot put with a heave of 35-05.25. The Knights Zoe Fisher came in eighth in the discus throw with a throw of 95-11.

The Silver Knights took first and second in the high jump with Buerger winning with a 5-02.00 and Grimm next with a 5-02.00. Katie Householder was sixth with a 4-10.00.
