Local Teams Standout at WTTL
The Wetzel Tyler Track League held its third meet of the season on Tuesday, at Tyler Consolidated high school with Holden Dietrich of River winning the 100, 200, and 400 meter dashes to pick up 30 individual points at the event. Valley high school’s Laken Dawson was also a triple winner taking the 100 and 200 meter dashes, along with winning the long jump for 30 points in the girls division. Teams from Magnolia, John Marshall, Trinity Christian, River, Valley, Tyler Consolidated, and Valley participated in the meet.
In the boys 100 meter dash Dietrich claimed first place in a time of 11.44. Gideon Winfrey of Tyler took second with a time of 11.65, and teammate Maddox Corley was third in a time of 11.68. Aiden Milhoah of River was fourth in a time of 11.71. Tyler’s Kellan Dalrymple was seventh with a 12.31 and the Knights Jonathan Kelly was eighth with a 12.38.
In the 200 meter dash Dietrich finished first with a time of 23.39. River’s Aide n Milhoan was fourth with a time of 24.59.
Dietrich also claimed first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 53.10. River’s Tyler Winkler finished third in the race with a time of 55.13. Magnolia’s Riley Dennis was fifth with a time of 56.03 and Tyler Consolidated’s Coby Criss finished eighth with a time of 57.80.
The Silver Knights received first place in the 800 meter run as the Knights senior distance star Amos Kimble won with a time of 1:58.51. Tyler’s Travis Moore finished third with a time of 2:01.55. The Knights Brody Nice was seventh with a time of 2:11.51.
Kimble also claimed first in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:44.44. The Knights Jacob Henderson was seventh with a time of 4:59.56.
In the 300 meter low hurdles Tyler Consolidated’s Kellan Dalrymple took first place with a time of 43.04. Valley’s Luke Beaty was fifth with a time of 53.34.
The Silver Knights 4×100 meter relay team won the event in a time of 46.01 from a team of Henderson, Kelly, Corley, and Winfrey. River was second in a time of 47.13 from a team of Dietrich, Braden Johnson, Winkler, and Milhoan. Magnolia was sixth in a time of 49.84 from a team of Ethan Finch, Parker Werkau, Cameron King, and Greg Mopore.
In the 4×100 Throwers Relay the Silver Knights took first place with a time of 56.29, from a team of Liam Conner, Rogan Post, Garrett Bordenkicher, and Wyatt Keller. River was third with a time of 59.08 from a team of Dawson Isaly, Carter Piatt, Wyatt Jones, and Michael Schultheis. Magnolia was fifth with a time of 1:00.56 from a team of Ayden Spitzer, Luke Stillwagoner, Dylan Nice, and Jacob Norton.
River high school won the 4×200 meter relay in a time of 1:45.17 from a team of Parker Binni, Ayson McBride, Johnny Silgar, and Kohen McBride.
Tyler Consolidated finished second in the 4×400 meter relay in a time of 3:44.77 from a team of Travis Moore, Kayden Utt, Brody Nice, and Amos Kimble. Magnolia Finished fourth in a time of 4:10.98 from a team of Manowah Vaughn, Riley Dennis, Alex Yeager, and Nicholas Matheney.
Magnolia took third place in the 4×800 meter relay with a time of 9:46.97 from a team of King, Vaughn, Matheney, and Yeager.
Magnolia also finished second in the 4×110 meter shuttle hurdles with a time of 1:10.55 from a team of King, Moore, Werkau, and Kraytin Nice.
In the shot put Magnolia’s Anthony Lancaster finished second with a toss of 43-3. Tyler’s Israel Winfrey got fourth with a toss of 40-11. River’s Michael Schultheis came in seventh with a toss of 37-10. Tyler’s Garrett Bordenkircher was eighth with a toss of 37-7.
In the discus the Kn flights Israel Winfrey was third with a throw of 120-11. Magnolia’s Anthony Lancaster was fourth with a throw of 120-10. Eli Eddy of Magnolia was fifth with a 112-9, and the Blue Eagles Brayden Grimes was sixth with a throw of 109-7. River’s Michael Schultheis was eighth with a 102-10.
The Silver Knights Bryce Nichols was second in the high jump with a jump of 5-4. Magnolia’s Billy Sweeney was fifth with a 5-2.
Magnolia’s Matheney was fifth in the pole vault with a vault of 8-0.
The Silver Knights Gideon Winfrey won the long jump with a leap of 21-2.5. Magnolia’s Parker Werkau was fifth with a jump of 17-7.5. Tyler’s Martel King was seventh with a leap of 16-10 and teammate Isaiah Campbell was eighth with a leap 19-9.
Valley’s Laken Dawson ran a 12.90 to finish first in the 100 meter dash. Second place went to Tyler’s Kathryn Grimm with a time of 13.33. River’s Brayleigh Trifonoff was third with a time of 13.48. Valley’s Kendall Loy was fifth in a time of 14.15. Tyler’s Taya Weekley was sixth with a time of 14.20. River’s Maddie Moore was eighth in a time of 14.30.
In the 200 meter dash Valley’s Dawson won her second event with a time of 26.99. Finishing second was River’s Ashley Miller in a time of 27.11. Tyler’s Andi Fiber was third with a time of 27.71, while teammate Kathryn Grimm was awarded fourth in the same time. Valley’s Elynn Derby was sixth with a time of 29.35 and teammate Kendall Loy was seventh with a 29.88.
Tyler’s Fiber won the 400 meter dash in a time of 1:03.93. The Silver Knights Ayo Buerger was second with a time of 1:04.11. Magnolia’s Sydney Quinet was fifth with a time of 1:10.97. Tyler’s Leah Brightwell was seventh with a time of 1:14.05.
In the 800 meter run Magnolia’s Annalise Goddard was fourth in a time of 2:52.32 and teammate Hailey Serwatka was fifth in a time of 2:57.86. Tyler’s Leah Brightwell was sixth with a time of 2:58.17.
In the 3200 meter run Tyler’s Lily Haught was third in a time of 14:32.47.
River’s Brooke Huffman was second in the 100 meter high hurdles with a time of 16.24. Tyler’s Addison Blosser was third with a time of 17.85. Valley’s Elynn Derby was fifth with a time of 18.54. Tyler’s Imary Snider was seventh with a time of 19.09.
In the 300 meter low hurdles River’s Brooke Huffman was second in a time of 48.38. Valley’s Elynn Derby was third in a time of 50.88. Tyler’s Eliana Winfrey was fourth with a time of 54.28 and teammate Octavia Studenic was fifth with a time of 54.47.
In the 4×100 meter relay River took first place in a time of 51.78 from a team of Ashley Miller, Kara Miller, Brayleigh Trifonoff, and Carleigh Trifonoff. Tyler took second place in a time of 53.91 from a team of Studenic, Fiber, Blosser, and Grimm. Magnolia was forthwith a time of 58.45 from a team of Leah Hartline, Kaenn Hunt, Briley Dalrymple, and Hallee Beisel.
In the 4×100 Throwers Relay, Tyler Consolidated took second place with a time of 1:12.87 from a team of Zoe Fisher, Chloe Dutton, Sadie Negie, and Gaia Paolini.
In the 4×200 meter relay River won with a time of 1:50.92 from a team of Miller, Miller, Triffonoff, and Trifonoff. Valley was second in a time of 1:55.44 from a team of Derby, Loy, Carley Pittman, and Dawson. Magnolia was fourth with a time of 2:08.00 from a team of Nora Shackleford, Kaenn Hunt, Briley Dalrymple, and Hallee Beisel. The Blue Eagles also took sixth place with a time of 2:11.17 from a team of Sydney Quinet, Alexis Hauenstein, Addison Yeager, and Ireland Lowe.
Magnolia finished third in the 4×400 meter relay with a time of 4:52.82 from a team of Shackleford, Goddard, Serwatka, and Quinet. Tyler was fourth in a time of 4:57.52 from a team of Eliana Winfrey, Ralynn Heintzman, Jayden Anderson, and Andi Fiber.
Magnolia finished fourth in the 4×800 meter relay with a time of 12:31.99 from a team of Serwatka, Shacklefors, Rylee Lookadoo, and Goddard. Tyler finished fifth in a time of 12:56.31 from a team of Mya Fetty, Amber Ebert, Zoey Smith, and Lily Haught.
Tyler Consolidated finished fourth in the 4×102.5 shuttle hurdles with a time of 1:22.72 from a team of Zoey Smith, Snider, Studenic, and Blosser.
The Silver Knights took the first three spots in the shot put with Buerger winning with a toss of 35-1. Winfrey was second with a toss of 29-5, and Fisher was third with a heave of 29-2. Magnolia’s Aubrey Warder was fifth with a heave of 27-7, and River’s Sydney Gust was eighth with a toss of 26-6.
The Silver Knights Zoe Fisher won the discus with a throw of 100-1. Magnolia’s Aubrey Warder was third with a throw of 85-8. The Blue Eagle’s Zoe Mast was fourth with a throw of 78-1. Abbi McCall of River was sixth with a throw of 69-6, and Cloe Dutton of Tyler was eighth with a throw of 68-7.
Tyler Consolidated’s Ayo Buerger won the high jump with a jump of 5-2. Tyler’s Grimm was second with a jump of 5-0. River’s Ashley Miller was third with a 4-10. Magnolia’s Leah Hartline was fourth with a 4-8. Tyler’s Katie Househi\older was fifth with a 4-6 and teammate Jayden Anderson was also sixth with a 4-6.
The Silver Knights Ralynn Heintzman finished second in the pole vault with a vault of 9-6. River’s Kara Miller was third with a 8-6. Tyler’s Jayden Anderson was sixth with a 6-0.
In the long jump Valley’s Laken Dawso n won her third event with a leap of 17-2.5. River’s Carleigh Trifonoff was second with a leap of 16-3. Addison Blosser of Tyler Consolidated was fourth with a 15-6. Teammate Anna Sapozhnyk was fifth with a 14-0.5. Silver Knight Tiauna Mathis was seven th with a 13-6.5.
