Lady Knights Fall to Cameron

Breaden Wall Hits a Free Throw

The Lady Silver Knights traveled to Cameron on Monday, February 7 to take on The Number 2 Ranked Class A Lady Dragons. The 12-2 Lady Dragons were to strong for the Silver Knights as they fell by a final score of 66-29. Cameron built a big first quarter lead of 23-8 followed up in the second quarter out scoring the Knights 17-11 to take a 40-19 lead at halftime. The Lady Dragons did not let up in the second half as they out scored the knights 26-10 to close out the victory.

Scoring for the Silver Knights were Caleigh Phillips with four points, Juliana Lattea seven, Braeden Wall two, Lauren Templeton five and Havannah Lemasters with six. The girls will need to put this one in the rear view mirror quickly as they face off with Ravenswood on Tuesday February 8th at the Castle in Middlebourne.

Ravenswood

The Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights played host to Ravenswood on Tuesday, February 8th. The Lady Knights played Ravenswood tough in the first half trailing 31-22 at the break. Ravenswood used a strong second-half outscoring the Knights 15-6 to pull out the victory 46-28. Leading the way for the Knights was Juliana Lattea with 11 points followed by Lauren Templeton with seven. Caleigh Phillips also contributed four points hitting one three pointer.

The name of the game for Ravenswood in the second half was defense as the Lady Red Devils came up with 12 steals. Leading scorer for Ravenswood was Hadleigh McGoskey contributing 14 points.

The Silver Knights will host Ritchie County on Senior Night February 9th.

Lady Knights Drop LKC Placement Game

The Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights traveled to South Harrison on Thursday, February 10th for an LKC Placement game. While the final score did not go the Lady Knights way, they battled to the end dropping a 10 point decision 49-39. Trailing by only one at halftime the second half proved to be the downfall for the Lady Knights as they were out scored 29-20. Braeden Wall scored eight of her 12 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Lady Knights. She was followed by Landry Buchanan with nine and Lauren Templeton with six.

The foul line proved to be the difference as South Harrison outscored the Knights 25-13 from the charity stripe. Next up for the Lady Knights is an away game at Weirton Madonna on Saturday February 12th.
