TCHS vs River High School in 7-on-7
A River receiver is wide open.
Football season may still be months away, but fans got a preview of what’s to come on Wednesday morning as Tyler Consolidated traveled to River High School for their second per season 7 on 7 competition.
The informal scrimmage gave coaches and players alike a chance to shake off the offseason rust and evaluate their aerial attacks in a fast-paced, no-contact setting focused on the passing game. “We use these scrimmages as a development for our depth chart, and it gives us a good look at our upcoming players,” said River coach Mike Flannery.
“This is a great way for us to evaluate where we are in terms of communication and execution,” said TCHS coach Kyle Ritz. “It’s still early, but there’s a lot to be excited about.”
