TC Archers State Bound

The Tyler Consolidated archery team has reason to celebrate as two of its own have punched their tickets to the 2025 WVDNR archery in the school’s state tournament. Head-Coach Dave Stoller, Coach James Utt, Coach Josh Henthorn, and Coach Joe Thomas proudly announced that senior Nikki Stoller and freshman Tristan Bassett have qualified for the prestigious event, marking a historic achievement for the program.
Stoller’s qualification is particularly noteworthy, as she becomes the first female archer in program history to reach the state tournament. A four-year veteran, she has been a cornerstone of the team since her freshman year and will now have the chance to cap off her high school career on the biggest stage.
Bassett meanwhile makes history in his own right as the first freshman from the program to qualify for states. His dedication and effort throughout the season have paid off reinforcing the belief that success and archery is directly tied to hard work and commitment.
While the team as a whole fell just 25 points short of qualifying for states, coach solar remains proud of their accomplishments. This season the squad set multiple program records, including the highest team score in school history. A mark they shattered multiple times.
The TCHS Archery team’s future looks bright and big plans are in the works for the 2025-26 season. Coach Stoller expressed thanks to all who have helped with the team’s success. “Thanks again for all the support this season, and remember we are not done yet as we will still have a few tournaments left on the books for the season and we’ll be preparing for States on March 29,” informed the coach.
