Lady Knights Fall to Lady Yellow Jackets

The Lady Knights of Tyler Consolidated played host to Williamstown on January 13 and fell by the score of 48-25. The Knights started slowly, scoring only three points in the first quarter while surrendering 13 points to the Lady Jackets. Their cold shooting continued in the second quarter and they fell behind 33-6 at halftime. The Yellow Jackets defense would not allow the Knights to get any closer in the second half as they continued to pull away. High scorers for the Knights were Jules Lattea with nine and Katie Grimm with eight. Taylor Donaldson chipped with five for the Lady Knights.

Silver Knights Defeat Wirt on the Road

Coming off a loss on Monday to Williamstown the Lady Knights hit the road to Wirt County to take on the Lady Tigers and came home with a 63-32 victory. The Lady Knights led from start to finish with Jules Lattea leading the way with 17 points and 17 rebounds. Katie Grimm added 15 points and five assists. Riley Stover had eight steals to go along with her seven points. Taylor Donaldson added eight and Ryland Henderson chipped in with six for the now 3-8 Lady Knights.

The Knights were scheduled to play in the opening round of the Boggs Roundball Classic on Thursday, January 16 but was canceled due to the weather. They will play Ritchie County on Saturday, January 18 in day two of the classic at the Castle and then host rival Magnolia on Monday January 20.
