Silver Knights Move to 2-0

It was a Christmas theme at the Castle as the Tyler Consolidated Silver Knights moved their record to 2-0 with a 72-65 win over the Pendleton County Wildcats on Saturday, December 21 in boys basketball action. The Knights led 21-16 after the first quarter and increased their lead to 46-28 at halftime. The Wildcats came out of the locker room and outscored the Knights 21-11 in the third period to pull within eight heading to the fourth. The Silver and Black managed to hang on in the fourth quarter against a hard charging Pendleton County for the victory.

The Silver Knights were led by four players in double figures with Brady Strode scoring 19, Brody Giovinazzo with 18, Cole Lemasters with 16 and Garrett Bordenkircher with 11 including three goals from behind the arc. Zayden Hardbarger and Austin Peck each had four points.

The Silver Knights will now have a few days off to enjoy Christmas before heading to Marietta to meet Fort Frye, Ohio and Liberty Union, Ohio in the Marietta Tournament on December 27 and 28.
