Lady Wildcats Pick Up 1st Win

The Paden City Lady Wildcats traveled to Clarksburg on December 10 and came home with their first victory of the young season defeating Heritage Christian by the score of 38-35. The Wildcats led 22-14 at the break and increased the lead to 30-23 at the end of three periods. The Lady Cats held off a late run in the fourth quarter to preserve the victory. The Lady Cats were led by Ashton Wade with 23 and 11 rebounds. She was followed by Kimberly Burch with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Katie Householder rounded out the scoring with four points.

“We still have a lot to work on but we will take this win and look to improve from it,” said Coach Fulks.

Lady Wildcats Rout Van

The Lady Wildcats picked up win number 2 on the road at Van by the lopsided score of 39-14. The Cats jumped out early leading the Lady Bulldogs 16-0 after the first quarter and never looked back. The Wildcat defense stood strong holding Van to only 14 points through three quarters while adding to their lead scoring 23 points through the final three quarters. Five Lady Wildcats hit the scoring column with Ashton Wade leading the way with 14 points. Katie Householder added nine and Kim Burch chipped in with seven. Also scoring for Paden City was Harmony Gross with four and Hopelynn Ewing with two. The Lady Cats will have a short turn around as they host Paw Paw on Saturday December 14.
