WV, passed away on

January 7, 2025.

She was born January 3, 1936, in Friendly, WV, daughter of

the late Ensel Mathess

and Carrie Monroe

Wilson.

Ione was an Aide at

the former Colin

Anderson Center and

she was a member of

the First Baptist

Church of Sistersville.

She enjoyed crocheting, working crossword puzzles, reading

and going to Church.

She is survived by

her sons, Brian (Nazlyn) Wright of The

Philippines and Matt

(Delilah) Wright of

New Martinsville,

WV; step-son, John

Wright of Plain City,

OH; daughters, Darlene Wharton of Arvilla, WV, Debbie

(Chuck Laugh) Wright

of Sistersville, WV,

Mary Lohri of Sistersville, WV and Beverly

(Gary) Burian of Arvilla, WV; sister,

Sharon LeMasters; 19

grandchildren and 24

great-grandchildren.

In addition to her

parents, she is preceded in death by her first

husband, Glenn

Wright; second husband, Harold Clark;

sisters, Deloris Williams, Ruby Fiest, Cleone Fansler, Edith

Bolen, Bonnie Beaver,

Barbara Shreves and

Sandra Shreves; brother, George Mathess;

son, Larry Mathess;

grandsons, Joshua

Lohri and Jeffrey

Mathess; granddaughter, Crystal

Wright and greatgrandson, Trey Montrose.

There will be a

memorial service at a

later date.
