Plenty of hard work has gone into decorating the town of Sistersville for the holidays. Windows are decorated downtown, the parking meters are looking rather jolly, and the lights have been added to the posts throughout town.

On Friday, city employees were busy decorating the large tree beside the bank on Wells Street so it could be lit up for the parade that evening. It is evident that lots of time has been put into lighting up the town for the season.

The Christmas Parade was held on Friday evening. The parade began with the different Veteran’s organizations leading the parade, followed by the Sheriff’s Office and Police Departments. Also in the parade were Tyler County Fair Royalty, Mr. Holly Days, the Roadkill Queen, and even Santa Claus!

Following the parade, children could meet Santa at the Gaslight Theatre to exclaim their Christmas morning wishes.
