Activities for this year’s Paden City Alumni Weekend have been announced.

The annual parade and memorial will be held on Thursday evening, July 1. Beginning at 7 p.m., alumni will gather at the Methodist Church on Fourth Avenue for a parade that will travel to the high school followed by a memorial service for deceased alumni.

Plans are being made to form an alumni band for this event. Anyone interested in playing in the alumni band may contact Mark Glover at 304-337-4111.

Class parties so far on Friday, July 2, include Class of 1960 at the home of Ken and Linda Stead Friday beginning at 6 p.m., Class of 1970 party at the home of Barb and Charlie Racer beginning at 6 p.m., Class of 1990 at the Paden City Park with time yet to be announced and the Class of 1980 at the Paden City Park on Saturday, July 3rd from noon 4 p.m.

The annual golf tournament will be held at Sistersville Country Club on Saturday morning, July 3, starting at 8 a.m. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. As in the past it will be a scramble comprised of five-member teams.

The Distinguished Alumni Award Reception will be held Saturday, July 3, at 4:30 p.m. at Paden City High School. The 2010 recipient will be announced in the near future.

The Alumni Banquet will be held on Saturday, July 3, starting at 6 p.m. at the PCHS multipurpose room. Tickets may be purchased in advance at locations announced later. Tickets will be $15 per person and the dinner will be catered by Quinet’s Court Restaurant. This year they will recognize the Classes of 1960, 1970, 1980, 1990, and 2000.

This year the Alumni Dance will be held on Saturday, July 3, at the Eagles beginning at 9 p.m. The cost will be $8 person or $15 per couple. D.J. Dave Ivy will be providing the music.

All Alumni members are encouraged to attend the festivities to show support for the Paden City High School-open now and here forever. Make this the best-attended alumni weekend ever.
