Pine Grove Council Meets
On Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Robert C. Byrd Center the monthly council meeting was held. Council members Aaron Wilcox, Dave Palmer, Amy Coen, and Mayor Johnny Haught and Recorder Sandi Haught were all present. There were also a few community members who were in attendance. During the meeting an official contract was signed between the council and school and Reader PSD. With this contract the council wants the citizens to know “Every time the town raises the water fee there will be a revised contract, and the school will raise too.” They also discussed how the local Christmas event, “Christmas in our Town” that was held last weekend and had an outstanding turn out. There were multiple vendors who attended and multiple activities for families to enjoy and to bring Christmas spirit to everyone who came.
Chuck Roberts reports that the Co-Op has been a great success with events such as a jewelry making class with Tina Rush from North Fork Jewelry Design who was recently awarded both best WV online Retailer and third best WV made product. Also, with martial arts instructor JJ Corley. For January there will be more exercises coming! Roberts stated, “I want to give a huge thank you to the County Commission for helping make this all happen.”
