Sistersville Elementary School students participated in the “Heart’s Galore'” art show which was on display Saturday and Sunday at the Golden Derrick Gallery in Sistersville, WV. Each grade level prepared a unique work of art featuring imagery associated with Valentine’s Day. Over 100 guests visited the gallery to enjoy the exhibit. This is the second year the students have displayed their art at the Golden Derrick Gallery and are hopeful the show becomes a yearly tradition.

The elementary students are instructed by Emma Olaru, teacher of visual arts to PK – 5th grade students at Sistersville Elementary and Arthur I. Boreman Elementary Schools.

Mrs. Olaru resides in Paden City with her husband, Mihai Olaru, and their cat, O’Neil. The Olaru family adopted O’Neil when he was rescued as a stray from the school grounds of AIB.

The Sistersville Elementary students, along with Mrs. Olaru, wish to thank Terry Wiley, owner of the Golden Derrick Gallery, for his kind donation of space.
