JIMMY WYATT
Jimmy Thomas Wyatt, 85, of Middlebourne, WV passed from this world on Friday, April 17, 2026.
Jimmy was born December 4, 1940, in Widemouth, WV son of the late Sherman and Lenora (Hilmon) Wyatt.
He was a retired educator, a graduate of Spanishburg High School in 1958, WVU Bachelors in 1963 and WVU Masters in 1972; a former Vo-Ag teacher at Magnolia High School, former Principal at Ravenswood High School, Director of the Vocational Center at Roane County, former Principal of Tyler High School, retired Principal Tyler Consolidated High School, past President of Little Kanawha Athletic Conference, past President of OVAC Conference, past President National Federated High School, past Board Member and past President of WVSSAC (serving on the board of Appeals), member and past State President of the FFA, worked for the National Association of Educational Performance and a member of the Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Sherman Wyatt and Kenneth Wyatt; brother-in-law, Victor Charles Propst.
Surviving is his wife of sixty-three years, JoAnn (Propst) Wyatt; daughter, Jennifer (David) Weekley of Harrisville, WV; grandson, Austin Jared (Colleen) Weekley of Morgantown, WV; brother, Conley Wyatt of Clarksburg, WV; sister, Linda Rae Mullin of Princeton, WV; sister-in-law, Kimberly Propst of Morgantown, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends received 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at the Furbee Williams Funeral Home, 217 Main St., Middlebourne, WV where services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 23, 2026 with burial to follow in Middlebourne Cemetery in Middlebourne, WV.
