WV,passed away Tuesday,

January 21, 2025, at

his residence.

He was born in

Jeanette, Pennsylvania,

a son of the late Friend

Edward and Ida Bell

Harton. Bill served in the

United States Army

and was a proud

member of the NRA,

Korean War Veterans

Association, National

Association for Uni

formed Services, Dis

abled American Veterans,

American Legion Post 15, and a

life member of VFW Post 6327.

Those remaining to

carry his memory include four children,

Joe Harton of (Chris

tine) of Sistersville,

WV, Tina Rucker (Joel)

of Friendly, WV, and Tonya

Slonaker (Frank) of

New Matamoras; and

stepchildren,

Crystal

Kaufman of Parkers burg, WV, Kay Strain

(Ed) of Corpus Christi,

TX, and Deana Brown

of Parkersburg, WV;

sister, Donna Miller of

Sistersville, WV; and

several grandchildren,

great-grandchildren,

and great-great-grand

children.

In addition to his

parents, Bill was preceded in death by his

loving wife, Maxine

Ruth Dailey Harton; a

daughter, Cindy Marie

Harton and a son,

Robert William Harton.

Funeral services will

be conducted 1:00

p.m. Monday, January

27, 2025, at Myers

Funeral Home, Sistersville, WV with Pastor

Darrell Mayfield officiating. Services will

conclude with burial in

Greenwood Cemetery.

The Harton family will

receive friends 11:00

a.m. until time of ser

vice Monday at the

funeral home.
