Gary Pierce

Gary Lester Pierce, 75, of Middlebourne, WV left this world on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 while at Sistersville General Hospital.

Gary was born September 12, 1948, in Murraysville, WV son of the late Olin and Phyllis (Milhoan) Pierce.

He was a U.S. Marine Veteran, a former mail handler, enjoyed farming and member of the United Christian Fellowship Church in Middlebourne, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marsha Hicks and brother, Leon Pierce.

Surviving is his wife of fifty-three years, Betty (Michael) Pierce; four children, Michael (Susan) Pierce of Worthington, OH, Marlena (Mario) Barge of Westerville, OH, Christina (Jason) Craven of Marietta, OH and Jason Pierce of Akron, OH; eight grandchildren, Sierra (Coleman), Seneca, Savannah, Mya, Caleb, Nina, Naomi and Maximus; great grandson, Liam; three brothers, James (Bobbie) Pierce of Belmont, WV, Greg (Linda) Pierce of Friendly, WV and Terry Pierce of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Shelia (Danny) Boston, of Hundred, WV, Linda (Richard) Tuttle and Melissa (Dave) Robinson both of Sistersville, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends received 1-3 p.m., Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the Furbee-Williams Funeral Home, 217 Main St., Middlebourne, WV. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., at the United Christian Fellowship Church on Gorrells Run with burial to follow in United Christian Fellowship Cemetery. Honor Guard service will be held at the cemetery.
