The Tyler Consolidated Girls Basketball team faced off with the Class A Number 3 Ranked Cameron Dragons in the Region 1 Championship on Wednesday March 2nd. The Dragons punched their second consecutive ticket to the state tournament in Charleston with a 65-33 victory. Cameron jumped out to an early first period lead 24-6 and built it to 47-12 by halftime.

The Lady Knights were led by Juliana Lattea with seven points and Caleigh Phillips with four. The Knights finished the season with a 9-16 record. “We played a lot of Top 5 teams this year and we played well against some of those teams,” Coach Phillips said. “We played hard but we came up short. I’m proud of the way our girls fought tonight against a very strong Cameron team.” Caleigh Phillips, Landry Buchanan, Lauren Templeton, Anna Vollmer and Briann Templeton all played their last game for the Lady Knights.
