Heavy rains recently and rapid snow melt caused the Ohio River to leave its banks can create local flooding in the the Valley. In addition many creeks swollen with flood waters also wreaked havoc on residents in the counties. Pictured are scenes from the Sistersville City Park and the New Martinsville Marina.

Luckily the waters have subsided and the main threat is over for now. The forecast is calling for additional rain but should not be heavy enough to cause more problems.
