Kevins Custom Coverings

Kevin Wickes has been in the upholstery and detailing business for 29 years. He started out working in his father’s garage when he was just 22 years old. He always held a full time job while keeping the detailing on the side part time. He and Wife Shanelle, recently were blessed beyond measure. They had been operating Kevin’s Custom Coverings an upholstery and detail shop out of their home in New Martinsville. Kevin and Shanelle had been searching out locations to establish their business operations in a more efficient manner. One day they were contacted by Kevin and Kim Weddle offering them a solution. Just four miles south of Sardis Ohio the Weddle’s proposed a prime location to house Kevin’s Custom Coverings. Kevin and Shanelle were eager to check it out and jumped at the opportunity. They soon began preparations and are now up and running a full detailing and upholstery covering business as well as Nana’s Nook Boutique.

Both Kevin and Shanelle stated they would not be where they are now without the help of Kevin and Kim Weddle. The Wickes are anxious to see where this chapter leads, and together with the Weddles they want nothing less than pure success for this business.

Both Kevin and Shanelle operate the detailing business with the help of their children when they are available. Kevin’s Custom Coverings and Nana’s Nook Boutique are open Monday thru Friday 9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m, and Saturday 9:00a.m.to 3:00p.m. and closed on Sunday. Together they work hand in hand to provide the best service possible.

“We always do something extra special for each customer. We may add a customized air freshener with their company logo after the detailing is finished, but its always a little something extra as a ‘thank you for your business,'” stated Kevin.

Kevin’s Custom Coverings is planning to add new services to the line up. The Wickes are hoping to include undercoating, seal coating, and even auto accessories in the near future. They still offer the same sought after services as before such as, headliner repair and installation, corrosion protection, upholstery kits, and so much more. Together they work full time and complete at least three details a day, have several walk-ins for the boutique. and receive multiple calls or messages requesting an appointment for a detail or upholstery covering. They have added a few commercial accounts to their regular line of customers and are sure to see these accounts grow.

Shanelle has added Nana’s Nook Boutique in the front part of the building where she offers handmade arts and crafts, new and once loved clothing, primitive and farmhouse decor, soaps, lotions, room sprays, custom made t-shirts and much more.

“We have been so blessed we just want to give back,” Shanelle stated. With that being said she will be holding different drives to help non profit organizations in the area. She recently held a toy drive titled “For the Love of Ander” named mainly in honor of her grandson whom everyone loves.

All the toys donated were made available to anyone in need. She plans to choose an organization every couple of months and provide a drop off location for items those organizations may be in need of. The next organization on her agenda will be in support of the Gabriel Project.

The project provides assistance to families so they can give their children a healthy and safe start in life. They offer an array of items one may not be able to obtain otherwise without the projects help. Shanelle will be opening up the Boutique to anyone wishing to contribute and help her make the drives succeed. “We have been so blessed, and we want to help bless someone else.” said Shanelle.

Kevin and Shanelle Wickes want to thank everyone for their continued support and to kindly thank Kevin and Kim Weddle for blessing them with the opportunity to live out their dream.
