The Silver Knights began their post season run with a road trip to Weirton on Monday, May 18. The double elimination WVSSAC Class AA Region 1 tournament saw the Knights fall 4-1 to the Red Riders. The Knights led early 1-0 after the first inning but were not able to add any more runs in the defeat. Weir finally got going in the third pushing across three runs to take the lead. Weir would add another run in the bottom of the fourth to secure the victory. Six Silver Knights would lead the way with one hit a piece. Reese Davis, Grady Shortridge, Brennon Miller, Landon Boggs, Ashton Morris and Patrick Jones collected the hits. Landon Boggs took the loss on the mound going two and one-third innings.

Weirton advanced to play Wheeling Central on Tuesday, May 19 and fell by the score of 3-0. The Silver Knights will get another shot at Weir in an elimination game on Wednesday May 20 again in Weirton.
