The Lady Knights traveled to Cameron on Monday, April 6 to take on the Dragons in softball action.

Tied 1-1 after the second inning the Lady Knights exploded for five runs in the top of the third to lead 6-1.

The Dragons would answer in the bottom of third with four runs to pull within one headed to the fourth.

Unfortunately, the Knights were held scoreless the rest of the way while the Dragons would add four more runs in the fourth, one in the fifth and two in the sixth to secure the victory 10-6. Leah Carroll, Izzie Murray, Stevie Torman and Macey Shuman each had one stolen base.

At the plate the Knights had nine hits in 28 at bats led by Holly Johnson going two for three with two RBI’s.

Jahaila Gorell, Makayka Farrell, Izzie Murray, Macey Shuman, Faith Lemasters, Stevie Torman and Gracie Watson each added one hit apiece.

Isabella Pratt would go the distance giving up 17 hits to take the loss on the mound.

Next up the Knights is a road trip to Ellenboro to take on the Ritchie County Lady Rebels on Tuesday April 7.
