Silver Knights Invitational Hosts Eight Schools

On Thursday afternoon, April 2, at the Tyler Consolidated Track Complex eight teams competed in the Silver Knights Invitational giving an early look at some of the best performers working towards the goal of making it to state in late May.

In the boys 100 meter dash Maddox Corley of Tyler finished in the scoring at 3rd place with a time of 11.74 just a fraction behind the winner who ran a 11.45. Maddox finished 2nd in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.33 after winning the preliminary in a time of 23.70 which was the fastest time of the day.

Kayden Utt, of Tyler, came in 3rd in the 400 meter dash with a nice time of 55.63. Magnolia’s Parker Werkau finished 6th with a time of 57.73. The Silver Knights Jacob Henderson was 7th in the scoring with a time of 5.75

In the 800 meter run the Silver Knights Amos Kimble finished 2nd with a run of 2:03.76. The Blue Eagles Riley Dennis finished 5th overall with a time of 2:13.35. Magnolia’s Manowah Vaughn was 8th with a time of 2:25.69.

The Silver Knights received a 2nd place finish in the 1600 meter run from Travis Moore in a time of 4:42.21. The first place time was a step ahead with a time of 4:42.19. Magnolia’s Dennis was 6th with a run of 5:01.71.

The Silver Knights claimed the top two spots in the 3200 meter run with Amos Kimble covering the course in a time of 9:43.11, while teammate Travis Moore finished with a time of 10:05.36. The Blue Eagles Riley Dennis came in 6th in a time of 10:43.60.

In the 110 meter hurdles the Knights Kellan Dalrymple finished 5th in a time of 16.40.

Tyler Consolidated finished 2nd in the 4×100 relay in a time of 47.56 from a team of Jacob Henderson, Jonathan Kelly, Maddox Corley and Gideon Winfrey. Magnolia finished 4th with a time of 49.43 from a team of Ethan Finch, Cameron King, Greg Moore, and Devon Horne.

Magnolia took 2nd place in the 4×200 meter relay with a time of 1:43.49 from a team of Devon Horne, Aston Kelly, Kraytin Nice, and Parker Werkau.

Tyler finished 3rd in the 4×400 meter relay in a time of 3:55. 83, from a team of Jacob Henderson, Rogan Post, Coby Criss, and Amos Kimble. The Blue Eagles finished 4th in a time of 4:01.18 from a team of Werkau, Dennis, Vaughn, and Skelly.

The Silver Knights came out strong in the 4×800 meter relay with a 1st place finish in a time of 9:06.52 from a team of Moore, Utt, Nice, and Kimble.

Magnolia received a 7th place finish in the shot put with Anthony Lancaster getting off a heave of 42-5.5. In the Discus Lancaster placed 3rd with a throw of 136-9.

Magnolia’s Devon Horne came in 2nd in the high jump clearing the bar at 5-4. In the pole vault Magnolia’s Nicholas Matheney claimed 5th with a vault of 8-6.

The Silver Knights received 1st place from Gideon Winfrey in the long jump with a leap of 21-0. Teammate Kellan Dalrymple was 4th with a leap of 18-3 and the Knights Martel King was 6th with a 17-4. Magnolia’s Aston Skelly was 8th with a 17-05.

In the girls division Valley high school senior Laked Dawson was the meet top scorer with 30 points and three 1st place finishes. She came in 1st in the 100 meter with a time of 12.96. Magnolia’s Bella Sockman finished 2nd with a time of 12.99 right on Dawson’s heels. The Silver Knights Kathryn Grimm finished 3rd with a time of 13.33. In the 200 meter dash Dawson ran a 26.65 to claim the top spot. Finishing 2nd was Sockman with a time of 27.70. The Silver Knights Andi Fiber was 3rd with a time of 27.95. Valley’s Elynn Derby was 7th with a nice time of 29.36.

In the 400 meter dash the Silver Knights Andi Fiber came in 2nd with a time of 1:04.82. Magnolia’s Sydney Quinet was 8th in the scoring with a time of 1:10.08.

Magnolia’s Annalise Goddard came in 6th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:52.62.

In the 3200 meter run Tyler’s Lily Haught came in 4th with a time of 15:04.44.

Magnolia’s Jssa Anderson had a good finish in the 100 meter high hurdles with a time of 17.60 to get 2nd place. Tyler’s Addison Blosse was 3rd in a time of 17.83.

Valley’s Elynn Derby came in 3rd in the 300 meter low hurdles with a time of 52.41. The Silver Knights Octavia Studenic was 4th with a time of 55.52.

The Silver Knights came in 1st in the 4×100 meter relay with a time of 54.34 from a team of Studenic, Fiber, Blosser, and Grimm. Magnolia finished 3rd in a time of 56.10 from a team of Kaenn Hunt, Leah Hartline, Jessa Anderson, and Bella Sockman.

The Silver Knights also won the 4×200 meter relay in a time of 1:55.07 from a team of Eleana Winfrey, Ralynn Heintzman, Katie Householder, and Ayo Buerger. Magnolia finished 3rd in a time of 1:56.76 from a team of Bib\ndy Campbell, Sydney Quinet, Jessa Anderson, and Bella Sockman. Valley High School took 4th place in a time of 1:57.95, from a team of Elynn Derby, Kendall Loy, Carley Pittman, and Laken Dawson.

The girls 400 meter relay had Tyler Consolidated coming in 2nd with a time of 4:34.79 from a team of Wliana Einfrey, Ealynn Heitzman, Ayo Buerger, and Andi Fiber. Magnolia finished 3rd with a time of 5:10.60 from a team of Bindy Campbell, Nora Shackleford, Annalise Goddard, and Hailey Serwatka.

The Silver Knights came in 4th in the 4×800 meter relay with a time of 12:38.31 from a team of Mya Fetty, Amber Ebert, Zoey Smith, and Lily Haught.

Local teams took 3-4 places in the 4×102.5 shuttle hurdles with the Silver Knights winning the event in a time of 1:14.81 from a team of Katie Householder, Imary Snider, Octavia Studenic, and Addison Blosser. Valley was 3rd in a time of 1:18.40 from a team of Carley Pittman, Elynn Derby, Kendall Loy, and Mary Summers. Magnolia finished 4th in a time of 1:19.53 from a team of Leah Hartline, Kaenn Hunt, Sydney Quinet, and Jessa Anderson.

Tyler’s Ayo Buerger came in 2nd in the shot put with a toss of 37-0, and teammate Zoe Fisher was 6th with a 30-0. The Knights Eliana Winfrey was 8th with a 28-6.

Zoe Fisher finished 3rd for the Silver Knights in the discus with a throw of 105-4.

In the high jump Tyler took the top three spots with Ayo Buerger winning with a jump of 5-2. Kathryn Grimm was 2nd with a 5-0, and Katie Householder cleared the bar at 4-8 for 3rd. Magnolia’s Leah Hartline also cleared the bar at 4-8 and finished 4th.

In the long jump Valley’s Laken Dawson picked up her 3rd win of the day with a 1st place finish on a leap of 16-4.5. Tyler’s Addison Blosser was 2nd with a leap of 15-9.5. Teammate Imary Snider was 5th with a 14-1. Tyler’s Tiauna Mathis was 6th with a 13-6. Valley’s Carley Pittman grabbed the 8th spot with a leap of 12-10.
