The Silver Knights jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning and never looked back, defeating the Valley Lumberjacks 13-3 on Monday, March 30 on the turf at Knights Stadium. The Knights would continue their scoring adding one in the second, three in the third, three in the fifth and two in the sixth to pick up their fourth victory of the young season. Valley kept things close early scoring one run in each of the middle three innings but could not silence the Knights bats.

The Silver and Black was led by freshman Grady Shortridge going three for four, scoring two runs and five RBI’s. Brayden Neff, Reese Davis, and Landon Boggs would each add two hits apiece. Boggs also had three RBI’s while Sawyer Knukel had two RBI’s. Ashton Morris would pick up the win on the mound going three innings striking out six Lumberjacks.
