Silver Knights Defeat Ritchie County
The Tyler Consolidated Silver Knights traveled to Ellenboro on Friday, March 20 and defeated the Ritchie County Rebels 8-2 in baseball action. After falling to South Harrison in their opener the Knights offense came alive to pick up win number one on the 2026 season. Falling behind 2-1 after the first inning the Knights fought back scoring two runs in the third to take a 3-2 lead. Tyler would add one in the fifth, three in the sixth and one in the seventh while holding the Rebels scoreless after the first inning.
Brayden Neff and Grady Shortridge would lead the Knight offense both going two for four and scoring one run each. Five other Silver Knights would lead the nine hit attack with one hit each. Shortridge would go yard with a solo home run for the victorious Knights. Brayden Neff supplied the pitching for the Knights going seven innings striking out 10 Rebels and allowing only eight hits to pick up the win on the mound. Next up for the Knights is a home contest with the Poca Dots.
