The Paden City Boys Basketball team traveled to Wellsville to take on the Tigers in an OVAC semi-final game on Tuesday February 8th and came home on the short end of a 75-28 loss. The loss puts the Wildcats in the consolation game on Friday, February 11th at Weirton Madonna. Paden City managed to keep the game close after the first period trailing by 10 but a big 25-8 second quarter run by the Tigers put the game out of reach. Paden City with only eight players could not match the depth of the Tigers and early foul trouble put them in a tough situation for a comeback. Leading the Cats in scoring was Mickey Guerra with nine points followed by Shane Anderson with eight. Brandon Hizer, who scored 31 in the previous game against Montcalm was held to a season low four points. Wellsville was led by Jaxon Brewer with a game high 25 points and Eddie Stock with 16.
