Middle Island Champions

The Silver Knights claimed the Middle Island Championship for the second straight year. The Knights bested Ritchie County 54-30 and St Mary’s 53-24. The Knights finished their dual meet season with a team record of 14 wins and 5 losses. “It was a good night to cap off the regular season, retaining the Middle Island Championship and leaving St Mary’s with two key wins. Tyler had several exciting matches highlighted by a big win from heavyweight Raustyn Wade against St Mary’s and a come from behind win for Mya Anderson to cap off the evening. Other wrestlers going undeafested on the night were Danny McCune, Kaden Huffman, Colsen Spragg, Marques Jackson, Trenton Huffman, Sonny Leek, Case Landis and Raustyn Wade. “I like the momentum we are taking into the remainder of the season and the team is excited,” said Coach Morris.
