Caleb Strode Hits a Three

Caleb Strode led the Silver Knights to victory against Clay Battelle on Wednesday January 26, in Kidwell to improve their record to 7-5. The back and forth battle through the fist half saw the Knights come out strong in the second half to pull away for the win by the score of 61-45. Strode scored a game high 23 points and pulled down 14 rebounds while hitting on four triples. The three point shots filled the air as the Silver knights hit on 10 three’s and Clay Battelle added four three pointers. Tyler had three players in double figures with Strode, Conner Bailey with 17 points, four steals and seven assists, including three triples. Haygen Baker chipped in with 13 points and three triples. Coach Steve Nutter was extremely pleased with the performance and commented, “Proud of the effort the boys showed for 32 minutes against a scrappy and athletic Clay Battelle squad. All wins are special but mean a little more when it is a sectional opponent. The boys continue to grow and mature as a TEAM; it’s a fun group to work with on a daily basis.”

Leading Clay Battelle was Carson Chriver with 19 points and a trio of 3 pointers.

Next up the Silver Knights will face another upcomingSectional opponent when they travel to Doddridge on Friday January 28.
