Silverstars Downed by Parkersburg, 10-3

Tyler Silverstars Varsity 17U faced off with a strong Parkersburg team and suffered a 10 to 3 loss. The Silverstars managed only four hits led by Alex Chaplin going one for two and scoring one run, Garrett Ammons one for three with two RBIs, Owen Westbrook one for three, and Brody Seckman one for three scoring one run.Next up for the 17U team is a game vs Ritchie County on Yuesday July 27th.

Tyler Vs Ritchie County

Tyler Silverstars met Ritchie County at home on Tuesday, July 27 and came away with a five inning 13-3 victory. Tyler exploded for 10 runs in the third and fourth innings to extended their lead. Multiple Silverstars players led the team in hitting with Alex Chaplin going two for three scoring two runs, Zade Billings one for three scoring one run, Hayden Brown one for two scoring one run, Ty Walton two for four scoring one run, Garrett Ammona one for one scoring two runs, Mason Nichols one for two scoring three runs, Weston Henderson 3-3 scoring two runs and Carson Gorby two for three scoring one run. Carson Gorby took the win on the mound for the Silverstars going four innings allowing one hit. Mason Nichols pitched the final inning to preserve the victory. Next up for the Silverstars is a double header with Parkersburg on Thursday July 29 at Kidwell.

Silverstars Drop Close One to Parkersburg

The Tyler Silverstars Varsity met Parkersburg 16 U team on Thursday, July 29 at Kidwell. Originally a doubleheader, playing two five inning games, was scheduled but the constant interruption of rain and lightning forced the teams to make a decision to play one nine inning game. Tyler dropped a tough one to Parkersburg by the final score of 2 to 1. It was a defensive battle both ways as Parkersburg and Silverstars only managed three hits a piece. Leading the way for Tyler was Hayden Brown with one hit in three at bats and Ty Walton going two for two. Hayden also had the teams only RBI. On the mound for the Silverstars was Ty Walton going six innings allowing no hits and no runs. The final three innings were pitched by Hayden Brown who gave up three hits and two runs.
