Local Teams Represented on All Valley Baseball Team

TCHS was well represented on the 53rd Annual All-Valley baseball team for the 2021 season. Honored on the second team All Valley was Zade Billings, Catcher.

Zade’s stats were impressive as he hit .436 on the season with seven doubles, one triple, scored 25 runs, stole 16 bases and led the team with 34 RBI’s. Joining Zade on the Second team was River’s Carter Dennis, Utility.

Also honored from Tyler Consolidated were first team selections Ty Walton, pitcher, and Jayden Helmick, outfileld. Ty had a batting average of .325 with three doubles and one triple.

He also scored 22 runs with 6 steals, and 19 RBI’s. On the mound, Ty had a record of 8-1 with an ERA 1.15 while striking out 100 batters.

Jayden hit for an average of .487 with four doubles, five triples and two home runs. Jayden’s impressive stolen base number with 63 steals without being thrown out and scored 58 runs with 28 RBI’s. Magnolia’s Silas McKeever, Outfield and River’s Jake Rose, Infield, were also named the the first team. Silas hit for a season average of .458.

The center fielder recorded 15 singles, 12 doubles, three home runs, two triples and 28 RBIs. He also stole 15 bases.

Rounding out the First Team was Jake Rose. Jake hit for a season average of .507 with 34 hits, 37 RBIs, 27 runs, and seven stolen bases.

On the mound he turned in an ERA of 2.25 with a 3-3 record.

The All-Valley team is chosen from teams in both WV and Ohio regardless of Class, makes this an outstanding achievement for these players.
