Briann Templeton Fires to Second for the Out

Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights softball team began sectional play on Friday, June 4 traveling to Saint Marys. Tyler took an early 1-0 lead but St. Marys quickly followed in the bottom of the second scoring five runs adding two more in the third, one and the fifth and two in the sixth for a final score of 10-2. The Lady Knights were held to only 2 hits in 19 at bats. Leah Loudin and Haley Stillwagoner each manged one hit. Braeden wall took the loss on the mound for the Lady Knights going five innings giving up 7 hits and 10 runs. The Knights now fall to an elimination game vs Williamstown on Saturday June 5th.

Lady Knights Defeat Williamstown

Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights avoided elimination on Saturday, June 5 defeating Williamstown by the score of 4-3. The score was tied 3-3 going into the bottom of the seventh-inning when Tyler’s Leah Loudin slid home scoring the winning run. Sadie Nichols led the hitting for the Lady Knights going three for three with two RBIs. She was followed by Leah Loudin going one for four and Briann Templeton one for three. The win keeps the Lady Knights hopes alive as they travel to St Marys on Monday June 7 for another elimination game.
