Tyler Consolidated Middle School Lady Knights Defeat Doddridge

TCMS Girls Softball Team

Tyler Consolidated Middle School Lady Knights claimed a 14-4 victory on Wednesday, despite a big push by Doddridge County in the fifth inning. The Middle School Lady Knights secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the first inning. The rally was led by triples by Mackinsey Thomas and Alexis Livingston, an error on a ball put in play by Jaedyn Gump and Izzie Murray, a walk by Hailey Sandy, and a double by Lexus Rocchio.

Hailey Sandy got the start for Lady Knights. The righty lasted five innings, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out five. TCMS totaled nine hitson the night. Lexus Rocchio, Kendi Jackson, and Kenzie Livingston all managed multiple hits for Tyler.

Rocchio went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits. The Lady Knights stole eight bases with Lakyn Fletcher leading the way with two.

TCMS Falls to Ripley

Tyler Consolidated Middle School Lady Knights’s bats were strong against Ripley on Tuesday May 25, but it wasn’t enough as the Middle School Girls fell 10-7.

Tyler led Ripley in hitting with 10 hits while Ripley managed eight hits. Ripley took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning.

Hailey Sandy was in the circle for Tyler Consolidated Middle School Lady Knights.

The pitcher went four innings, allowing nine runs on five hits and striking out three. Lexus Rocchio threw three innings in relief.

Kendi Jackson, Jaedyn Gump, and Mackinsey Thomas each racked up multiple hits for Tyler. Jackson led the way with three hits in four at bats.

TCMS had three players steal at least two bases. Jackson led the way with four.

Ripley racked up eight hits on the day and stole nine bases.
