Hailey Sandy Delivers a Pitch

TCMS Drops Close One To Ritchie County

Tyler Consolidated Middle School Lady Knights lost the lead late in a 10-7 defeat to Ritchie County on Friday. Tyler Lady Knights collected seven hits and Ritchie County had 11 in the high-scoring affair. Hailey Sandy toed the rubber for the Knights. Hailey lasted five innings, allowing ten hits and nine runs while striking out five. Lexus Rocchio threw two innings out of the bullpen. TCMS racked up seven hits in the game. Kendi Jackson, Lexus Rocchio, and Juliana Lattea all collected multiple hits for Tyler.

Lattea, Rocchio, and Jackson all had two hits to lead the Tyler Lady Knights. On the night mulitle players stole at least two bases. Jayden Gump led the way with two.

Emma Blair got the start for Ritchie County. The ace went two and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on two hits and striking out two. Frymier, Baylee Butta, and Blair each racked up multiple hits. Frymier led the Lady Rebels with four hits in five at bats. Frymier also collected four stolen bases. As a team Ritchie stole a total of 10 bases.

Ravenswood Defeats TCMS

Tyler Consolidated Middle School Lady Knights fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-0 loss to Ravenswood on Thursday May 6th at Ravenswood. The Middle School Lady Knights struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Ravenswood, giving up nine runs.

Ravenswood got on the board in the first inning when Macy Casto singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run. Macy Casto pitched five innings, allowing zero runs and no hits while striking out 13 for Ravenswood.

Hailey Sandy took the loss for the Knights. The righthander went four and two-thirds innings, allowing nine runs on 13 hits, striking out six and walking zero.

Middle School Lady Knights Shut Out Doddridge

Hailey Sandy shut down Doddridge County, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Tyler Consolidated Middle School Lady Knights to a 8-0 victory on Friday May 7 at the Lady Knights home fiield. The righthander allowed three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out 12.

Tyler Consolidated tallied three runs in the third inning. Sandy, Juls Lattea, and Katie Grimm all drove in runs in the frame. Juls Lattea went two for three at the plate including a home run in the fifth inning for the Knights. Jayden Gump was one for two and Lexus Rocchio was one for three scoring two runs.

Doddridge County gave up eight runs on six hits, striking out one and walking one.

Tyler Consolidated Middle School Lady Knights didn’t commit a single error in the game. Alexis Livingston led the defense assisting on 12 outs.
