TCMS defeats Wirt County

Tyler Consolidated Middle School Lady Knights defeated Wirt County for the second time this year in a mercy rule three inning game on Tuesday April 20. TCMS scored 21 runs in the first inning to defeat the Tigers 20-3 on Tuesday, April 20. Tyler went 11 for 16 at the plate as a team. Leading the way for TCMS was Lakyn Fletcher with two hits and Macey Shuman with two Alexis Livingston was one for two on the evening.

TCMS Wins in 10 Innings vs Ravenswood

Tyler Consolidated Middle School Girls Softball came back scoring the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to defeat Ravenswood 8-7 on Friday April 23. Hailey Sandy pitched all 10 innings for the Knights surrendering seven runs on 13 hits over ten innings, striking out ten. After falling behind early in the game, pinch runner Caylei Forrester got TCMS scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. On the night,TCMS tallied seven hits in the game led by Lexus Rocchio and Alexis Livingston with two hits each. Ravenswood had 13 hits but is wasn’t enough to pull out the win. Coach Morris said after the game, “this was a true team effort and the girls didn’t give up at any point. They fought hard and came out on top this evening. These girls have a phenomenal since of team spirit and work ethic. I can’t wait to see where they go from here,” Next up for TCMS is a home game with Ritchie County, varsity and JV beginning at 5PM on April 30.
