St Marys Defeats TCHS Girls
Tyler Consolidated Softball dropped a tough one to St. Marys by the score of 4-3 on April 20. St. Mary’s scored all four of the runs in the first inning and held on as Tyler tried to battle back but fell short by one run. Leading the way for the Knights was Brianna Wall with a triple and Sadie Nichols with a double.
Lady Knights Win at Home vs Paden City
TCHS Lady Knights softball defeated Paden City on April 21 by score of 8 to 6. Tyler opened the game scoring six runs in the first inning as Paden City battled back scoring six runs over the next four innings Tyler added a run in the fourth and run in the fifth to take the win. Leading the way for the Lady Knights was Leah Loudin with two hits, Briann Templeton two hits, Romana Rice two hits, and Regan Smith two hits.
TCHS Girls Softball Fall to Wahama
Tyler Consolidated was defeated by Wahama on April 23 by the score of 10-0. Wahama scored all 10 runs in the first three innings to shut out the Lady Knights in five innings. Tyler was unable to get anything going offensively which led to their defeat.
Tyler Consolidated Girls Rally to Defeat Doddridge
Tyler Consolidated defeated Doddridge County by the score of 5-4 on April 26. Tyler fell behind by 4-1 going into the fifth inning but plated four runs to take the lead in eventually the win. Leading the way for Tyler was Lauren Templeton with a double and a single followed by Briann Templeton with a single in a double.
TCHS Girls Defeat Magnolia
Tyler Consolidated Girls softball defeated Magnolia 8-0 on April 27. Leading the way for TCHS was Lauren Templeton and Briann Templeton each with a single in a double. Brianna Wall pitched the shut out with four strikeouts and three walks and Audrey Dennis added a double. Karisa Postlethwait got the start for the Blue Eagles striking out eight and walking one.
Tyler Lady Knights Defeat Paden City
Tyler Consolidated Lady Knights defeated Paden City on April 30 in a game shortened five innings by the score of 11 to 1. Briann Templeton led Tyler with three hits followed by Braedan Wall with a single and Regan Smith with two RBI.
