TCHS Boys Baseball Splits Doubleheader With Wahama

Ty Walton on the Mound

Tyler Consolidated Boys Baseball split a doubleheader with Wahama on Saturday, April 24 at home taking the first game 7-3 but dropping the nightcap 10-9 in 11 innings. Ty Walton got to start in the first game going four innings with 10 strikeouts. He was relieved by Hayden Brown who picked up the win with three strikeouts. Leading the Knights in hitting was Jayden Helmick two for four, Mason Nichols two for three with two RBI, Ty Walton two for three with one RBI, Owen Westbrook two for three one RBI and Weston Henderson two for two and one RBI.

In the second game Hayden Brown started and went three innings and was relieved by Owen Westbrook who went three innings but took the loss. Tyler used three pitchers on the day. Jayden Helmick went five for seven at the plate with a triple, Weston Henderson was four for six with two RBI, Hayden Brown two for three one RBI and Mason Nichols three for five and three RBI. Jayden Helmick turned an unassisted double play to end the top of the 10th inning. Wahama got a run in the bottom of the 11th to take the win.

TYLER Slams #2 Ranked Williamstown

Tyler Consolidated defeated then number two ranked Williamstown Yellow Jackets by the score of 15 to 8 on Monday, April 26. Owen Westbrook struck out six and also had two hits and four RBI. Jayden Helmick had two doubles and three RBI. Westin Henderson had three singles and two RBI. Tyler trailed Williamstown by the score of 5 to 2 going into the seventh-inning and reeled off 13 straight runs. Williamstown came back in the bottom of the inning with three runs but it was not enough as Tyler stages huge comeback win.

TCHS Defeats St Marys

Tyler Consolidated defeated St. Marys 7-0. TC’s Ty Walton pitched five and two-thirds innings, only giving up two hits while striking out 11. He also contributed at the plate with a triple and two RBI. Also for Tyler: Owen Westbrook was two for 4 with a double and three RBI. Mason Nichols was two for four, with a triple and 1 RBI. ST marys was held to only three hits.

TCHS at Beallsville

Hayden Brown pitched a complete 5 inning game with five strikeouts and no walks. Jayden Helmick was three for three with three RBI and scored three runs. Zade Billings was three for three with a double, two RBI and scored three runs. Mason Nichols on the night was three for four, two RBI and three runs scored.
