TCHS Baseball Players Are Athletes of the Week

Tyler Consolidated Boys Baseball is off to a hot start this season by winning five of their last six games. Tyler split with Wahama in a doubleheader on Saturday, April 24 followed by victories over Williamstown, who at the time was ranked number two in the state, St. Mary’s and Beallsville to finish out the week. The Knights are led by Ty Walton on the mound with an ERA of zero, including 37 strikeouts and10 walks in 16 innings. Ty also has nine hits in 26 at bats for and average of .346. Jayden Helmick has 14 hits in 25 at bats and is averaging .560 for the season, also 23 stolen bases, without being thrown out, and scoring 19 runs. Weston Henderson has 12 hits in 23 at bats with an average of .522. The entire roster for Tyler Consolidated is contributing with multiple hits in every game but the these three individuals have stood out over the past week.
