Cali Phillips Moves the Ball Up Court vs South Harrison

On Monday March 29 the TCHS Girls Basketball team dropped an away game to the Lady Rebels by the final score of 50-30. The Silver Knights were led in scoring by Landry Buchanan with eight points, Regan Smith and Cali Phillips each with seven. Nine different players scored for Ritchie, led by Sophie Nelson with 14 points and Rebekah Rupert with 11. Ritchie led at halftime 26-12 and it was to much for the Lady Knights to overcome in the second half. The Silver Knights next play the LKC Placement game vs South Harrison on Wed March 31 at home.

TYLER CONSOLIDATED GIRLS WIN LKC PLACEMENT GAME

The Silver Knights Girls Basketball team held a slight 2 point lead at halftime vs South Harrison on Wednesday March 31 but used a huge second half effort to overcome the Hawks in an LKC Placement game 60-35. The Knights placed four girls in double figures led by Cali Phillips with 16 points.

She was followed by Landry Buchanan with 13, Lauren Templeton with 14, and Regan Smith with 10. The Hawks were led by Regan Rudder with 10 points. The win secured the Lady Knights a home game on Friday April 2 against a tough Doddridge County team. “This was a big win for our confidence going forward,” said Coach Tommy Phillips.

TCHS DROPS TOUGH ONE TO DODDRIDGE

Tyler Consolidated girls faced off with Doddridge County on Friday, April 2 but came away with a 49-33 loss. TCHS fell behind at halftime by the score of 27-13 and Doddridge pulled away in the second half to take the win. Tyler Consolidated was led by Cali Phillips with two three-pointers and 13 points followed by Regan Smith with six.

Abby McDonough was the leading scorer in the game with 19 points and Laurel McCombs added 10 for Doddridge.

The Silver Knights wrap up the regular season on Monday, April 5 with an away game at Madonna and will begin Sectional play on April 13th.
