Head Coach Paden Morris shared some of his thoughts. “Although today’s results were not what we were hoping for it was a great test for us against some tough competition going into the most important part of our season,” acknowledged the coach. Coach Morris also said the goal from day one has been to get as many wrestlers to the state tournament as possible, and that’s where the Knights will turn their sights now.
Coach Morris explained, “Everyone is 0-0 again, and we focus now, as a team and individuals, on reaching that goal by pushing themselves to finish top four in the region and punching their ticket to the state tournament.”
The coach believes his team has continuously shown the attitude, the work ethic, and determination to reach their goals. “What happens the next two weeks can turn a good season into a great season. We very much look forward to the opportunity and the challenge set in front of us,” relayed Coach Morris.
Next up for the Knights is the Regional Tournament held this year at the Fairmont Armory in Fairmont WV on April 9 and 10th. Good Luck Silver Knights!
