Silver Knights Gets Win Over Ravenswood in High School Volleyball
Tyler Consolidated improved to 11-7 on the season with a three set match win over Ravenswood on Thursday at Ritchie County. The Silver Knights won set one 25-12, and set two 25-9, before Ravenswood put up a little fight in the third set, but still fell to the Knights 25-20.
Leading the way for the up and coming Knights was Caleigh Phillips who filled the stat sheet with eight service points, including an ace, 10 assists, and five digs. She controlled the net play with 15 kills and a block. Ryley Vandyne stepped up big with 19 points from the service line, including four aces. She also added two kills, two blocks and eight digs.
Breaden Wall had her way at the net as she hammered down nine kills and got four defensive blocks. Lindsay Thompson stepped in to score 10 service points, including two aces, while adding two kills and four digs. Sadie Nichols was all over the place getting 13 digs, and two assists, while Landry Buchanan scored four points and added six digs.
Caitlyn Northcraft was huge as well as she served up seven points with three aces, while also adding 16 digs. Audrey Dennis hit the floor for 11 digs, and Caitlyn Hayes got three kills, a block, and an assist. Alisa Miller ended the stats with three kills.
The Silver Knights also won the JV Match with Maeson Maxwell leading the charge with seven service points and five aces.
Alisa Miller added seven points and one ace, Ashlee Spencer got six points, with two aces, Caitlyn Hayes had five points, Caitlyn Northcraft got three points, Leah Cathers ended with four points and an ace, and Breaden Wall scored four points with an ace.
