Silver Knights Improve To 8-3 With Quad Win

Point Pleasant: Reagan Smith, Caleigh Phillips and Landry Buchanan filled the stat books on Saturday at Gilmer County as the Silver Knights took all three matchs to win the Quad against Point Pleasant, Ravenswood and Gilmer County. In the match with Point Pleasant Smith had a field day around the net as she hammered down 14 kills. She also stood out with 34 sets, 13 assists, six points and six digs. Phillips provided strong play as well as she got nine kills, eight digs, 11 points, including an ace, and had 42 sets and 16 assists. Buchanan scored 12 points, including an ace from the service line and hit the floor for 11 digs. Braeden Wall hit for four kills and added three locks in some strong net play.

Lindsay Thompson scored seven points and had four digs and two kills. Sadie Nichols scored three points and added for sets and two assists. Alisa Miller got two kills and five blocks. Ashlee Spencer scored three points and had two digs, while Audrey Dennis added three digs, Caitlyn Hayes one block and Ryley VanDyne got wo blocks and a dig.

Gilmer County: Smith knocked down eight kills, had seven digs, 11 points, icluding four aces, and added 28 sets and five assists in the Knights win over Gilmer. Sadie Nichols continued to impress with 14 digs, and five service points including an ace.

Phillips had 24 sets and nine assists to go along with five kills, one blick and two digs. Buchanan also had a strong game with 12 digs and two points. Ashlee Spencer scored five points and ad five digs for a good nights work, while Caitlyn Northcraft offered up eight sets for three assists. Caitlyn Hayes got two kills, one block and one dig, Wall had two kills and five big blocks, VanDyne came through with two kills and a blockand Thompson played well with four kills, a block and two service points. Alisia Miller added one kill and a block.

Ravenswood: Against the Red Devils Smith hit down eight kills, added a block, four digs, five points, including two aces, 27 sets, and 13 assists. Phillips added nine kills two digs, one point, 16 sets and seven assists.

Nichols added eight digs, five points, one ace, four sets and two assists. Buchanan served up eight points and had eight digs. Audrey Dennis got six digs, Ahley Spencer had a good match with eight serice points including an ace, and two digs. Caitlyn Northcraft got six sets and two assists. Thompson added two kills and three points while VanDyne got three kills and a block. Wall also came in with three kills and a block, and Miller got two kills and a block. Shayli Kocher added one kill to the stat book.

Silver Knights Win Quad Match to Move to 5-3 on the Season

Linsly: Tyler Consolidated won their quad match on Thursday, September 10, with knocking off Linsly in three sets 25-19, 17-25, and 25-18. They followed that up by downing Hundred in straight sets 25-6 and 25-7, while also defeating Cameron 25-7 and 25-15. In the match with Linsley. Senior Regan Smith came up big in the stat book with 10 kills, one block, seven digs, seven points, 16 sets and seven assists. Caleigh Phillips added nine kills while getting 47 sets and 15 assists. She also added one block, two points and five digs.

Sadie Nichols continued her fine play as she hit the floor for 18 digs, while serving up six points. Audrey Dennis also was on her game as she added 10 digs.

Lindsay Thompson got five points from the service line and added two digs and a block. Ryley VanDyne had two kills and two blocks, while Landry Buchanan served three points and had two digs. Braeden Wall played well pitching in with two kills, three blocks, three digs and five points.

Hundred: Against Hundred the Knights had little trouble as the Knights had 12 players get in the stat book.

Leading the way was Sadie Nichols with 17 points from the service line, including 10 aces. She also had two digs, two sets, and one assist. Caleigh Phillips offered up six points, including two aces, and had 10 sets and four assists. Caitlyn Northcraft stood out with nine sets, four assists, and two points. Leah Cathers served up four points, including two aces and added three digs.

Others reaching the stat book included Reagan Smith with one kill, three points and one ace, Alisa Miller with one kill, Lindsay Thompson with two kills and one block, Braeden Wall with four kills, Landry Buchanan with three points, Caitlyn Hayes with two kills, Ashlee Spencer with one dig and two points, and Shayli Kocher with three kills.

Cameron: In the Silver Knights matchup with Cameron Nichols led the way at the service line as she drilled 10 points including an ace, along with a dig. Caitlyn Northcraft got 10 sets and four assists, plus two p[oints. Phillips added 12 sets, three assists, and two points including one ace. Buchanan served up seven points including two aces, while also adding two digs. Braeden Wall continued to shine with six points, including two aces, plus two kills. Shayli Kocher added three kills, two digs and one point. Ashlee Spencer got two points and an ace, Audrey Dennis two points and a dig, VanDyne got two kills, and Alisha Miller got a kill while Reagan Smith scored a service point. The sweep of the quad match moved the Silver Knights to 5-3 on the young season.

Knights Compete in Oak Glen Tournament

Philip Barbour took two straight from the Silver Knights in the Oak Glen tournament, winning 25-14 and 25-10. Regan Smith got six kills and six digs for Tyler in the loss, while Caleigh Phillips added nine assists, one point, one dig, one block and one kill. Sadie Nichols got eight digs, and Landry Buchanan has seven points, two digs and one ace. Ryley VanDyne got two kills and a block, Caitlyn Northcraft had an assist and Ashlee Spencer served up one point. Braeden Wall added one kill, one block, and one dig, and Linsay Thompson got one kill.

The Silver Knights took down Frankfort in the Oak Glen tournament Saturday, September 5, winning in two straight sets 25-10 and 25-16. Smith again put up big numbers for the Knights as she hammered down eight kills, scored nine points including four aces and added seven assists. She also had four digs and one block.

Phillips offered up 10 assists, while getting five kills, six digs and scoring two points from the service line. Sadie Nichols stood out once more as she offered up eight points including three aces and dug 10 digs in the match.

Lindsay Thompson scored eight points including an ace, Landry Buchanan got five digs and two points, and Ashley Spencer added six points, two aces and a dig.

Audrey Dennis hit the floor for six digs, Braeden Wall got three kills, a block and a dig and Alisa Miller added one block. Ryley VanDyne got a kill and two blocks and Caitlyn Northcraft had an assist.

Tyler battled tough against a good Oak Glen team on Saturday, September 5, in Oak Glen, but the home team was to much and defeated the Knights in two straight 25-21 and 25-21.

Regan Smith scored seven points including two aces and had five kills and two blocks. She also came in with six digs and four assists in the losing cause. Caleigh Phillips added six assists, five digs, two points, two blocks and two kills to the cause. Sadie Nichols hit the floor for 11 digs, and scored two points including an ace and had an assist. Landry Buchanan got four digs, three points and one ace to help the Knights.

Ashlee Spencer scored five points and added two digs, while Audrey Dennis chipped in with four digs. Alisa Miller got one kill, three blocks and a dig, Lindsay Thompson got one kill, one block, one point and one ace. Ryley VanDyne had a kill and two blocks Brooke Mason got two digs. Braeden Wall added two kills and two blocks.

Silver Knights open season with Sweep of St. Marys

The Silver Knights opened up their 2020 volleyball season on September 2, 2020 with a three set sweep of homestanding St. Mary’s. Coach Richard Summer’s squad won set one 25-10, set two 25-10 and completed the sweep with a third set 25-12 victory.

Leading the way for the Knights was Regan Smith who knocked down 10 kills, scored nine points including three aces, had 11 sets, nine digs, four assists and two blocks. Caleigh Phillips had a bif match as well as she had 37 sets, 17 assists, 12 points, five dis, five kills and one block.

Landry Buchanan was top point getter in the match as she drilled 12 points including two aces. she also added six digs. Sadie Nichols helped out with six points, six digs, three assists and two aces. Lindsay Thompson added seven points, two kills and one block, while Ryley VanDyne got six kills and a block.

Ashley Spencer scored six points including an ace, Braeden Wall had four kills, Alisa Miller got two kills and a block, and Audrey Dennis got three digs. Caitlyn Hayes had one kill.
