Strong Season for TCMS Grapplers

Tyler Consolidated Middle School wrestlers, Sean Winfrey, Kaden Huffman and Kendall Huffman put out an impressive season of wrestling. These three young men have put in the work and are reaping the benefits.

Sean Winfrey is a 2 year wrestler for Tyler Consolidated Middle School team. This season Sean competed in the 135 lb weight division. Sean finished his middle school career with a record of 42-0 for the 2019-2020 season. Some of Sean’s accomplishments this season are as follows; Cameron Tournament 1st place, LKC Champion, WSAZ Champion, Mason Dixon Champion, WVYWA Region 1 Champion and WVYWA State Champion. Sean finished his season with an undefeated record. This is the first time a wrestler completed an undefeated season in Tyler Consolidated Middle School history.

Kendall Huffman is a 3 year wrestler for the Tyler Consolidated Middle School team. This season Kendall competed in the 128 lb weight division. Kendall finished his middle school career with a record of 41-10 for the 2019-2020 season. Kendall also accomplished a 100 win middle school career with 106 middle school wins. Some of Kendall’s accomplishments this season are as follows; Cameron Tournament 1st place, LKC Runner-up, WSAZ 6th place, Mason Dixon 4th place and WVYWA Region 1 Runner-Up.

Kaden Huffman is a 3 year wrestler for the Tyler Consolidated Middle School team. This season Kaden competed in the 90 lb weight division. Kaden finished his middle school career with a record of 42-7 for the 2019-2020 season. Kaden also accomplished a 100 win middle school career with 105 middle school career wins. Some of Kaden’s accomplishments this season are as follows; Cameron Tournament 4th place, LKC Runner-up, WSAZ 7th place, Mason Dixon Champion, WVYWA Region 1 Runner-Up and WVYWA State Championship 3rd Place.

Kaden and Kendall Huffman’s 100th win during a middle school career has only been accomplished by one other Tyler Consolidated Middle School wrestler in school history. Trenton Huffman, their cousin, accomplished this hurdle during the 2018-2019 Tyler Consolidated Middle School wrestling season.

Sean Winfrey finished the season 42-0, winning both the LKC and WSAZ tournaments.

These 3 young men have made great accomplishments this season and will look to keep that trend going as they enter high school next school year. Their work ethic and determination will help them be an immediate asset to the Tyler Consolidated High School wrestling program.
