Lady Silver Knights Fall to 1-4

Fresh off their initial win of the season Tyler Consolidated felt the wrath of the Crusaders as the visiting and state ranked Parkersburg Catholic team flexed their muscle on the way to a 46 point win, 70-24.

The visitors received a game high 25 point performance from sophomore guard Leslie Huffman to derail the Knights chances for an upset. Huffman was one of three Crusaders who hit double figures while the Silver Knights failed to have a double figure scorer with Lauren Templeton leading the way with seven.

The undefeated Crusaders also received 12 points from Madeline Huffman and Aaliyah Brunny as they ran their record to (5-0) on the season. The Silver Knights dropped to (1-4) with the loss. Caleigh Phillips and Romana Rice each added four points to the Knights total. Regan Smith scored three points and collared five rebounds. Bri Templeton hit the Knights lone three pointer on the night, while Ryley Vandyne and Allie Miller eac scored a basket.

The Silver Knights did manage an advantage in rebounding as they had 23 to the Crusaders 20. The Knights also canned 7-9 free throws but could only connect on eight of 35 field goal attempts.
