By Staff | Dec 24, 2019

Tyler Consolidated’s Caleigh Phillips earned athlete of the week honors after nailing a buzzer beater to lift the Knights to a 45-44 win against Ravenswood.

Tyler Consolidated won their first game of the season on Thursday, December 19, on the home floor thanks to a buzzer beating 3-point shot by Sophomore Caleigh Phillips to lift the Knights to a come from behind 45-44 win over Ravenswood.

Phillips a sophmore guard finished up a nice week of basketball with the shot as she hit for a team high 17 points in the game and added four steals and three rebounds. Earlier in the week she hit for 22 points and has been in double figures in every game so far.

Phillips plays a fast paced game and is always looking to make something happen. She can handle the ball well and is a good defensive player with her speed and hustle.

Congratulations to Caleigh as she has picked up the honor for the second time this season.
