Spotlight: Garrett Littell

By Staff | Dec 4, 2019

Tyler Consolidated’s Garrett Littel is in this week’s sports spotlight.

The Tyler Star News is shining it’s spotlight on Tyler Consolidated senior basketball player Garrett Littell. For the past couple years Littell has continued to work on his game while playing mostly reserve ball. This season however looks to be a different story as the 6’6″ athlete has improved immensely and is ready to give the Silver Knights that big guy presense they have been lacking.

The Knights willl look to push the ball again this season and play and uptempo pace, but when they’re in the halfcourt offense Littell will definitely be a factor. He has improved his hand eye co-ordination and his body position will allow him to get some easy buckets while putting him in position to rebound.

“Garrett Littell is an outstanding young man who has put an immense amount of time in the weight room in the off season. Garrett has also worked on his game with the help from the adult community who have shown an interest of growing the program. Garrett has bought in and ran with all the drills/skills they taught him. He will be an inside presence for us to protect the rim and keep teams out of the middle. I’m excited to see what kind of season he has,” stated Knights Head Coach Steve Nutter.

The Tyler Star News is excited to see Garrett Littell and the rest of the Silver Knights as they take the floor on December 14, at home against Van high school.
