Paden City made it to the West Virginia State Volleyball tournament for the first time ever making it all the way to the final match before falling short of winning it all, however they came up big this week when the All-State Team was annouced.

The runner-up Wildcats, were represented on the first team by juniors Hope Weber and Mallory Yeater. Weber, who was second team as a sophomore, hit .520 and tallied 567 kills, 31 blocks, 45 aces and 248 assists. Along with hitting at a .340 clip, Yeater produced 81 aces, 680 assists, 310 kills and 351 digs.

Although the Blue Eagles failed to reach the state tournament after winning the championship last season, Magnolia senior Kyndra Pilant was a repeat selections on the first unit. Pilant knocked down 887 kills, had 354 digs and 200 blocks. Last season she teamed with Madi Winters to help the Blue Eagles win the title but this season Winters went down early with an injury and never returned. Pilant.

The Silver Knights placed junior Regan Smith on the second unit. Smith was the leader of a rebuilding KLnights team and will be back next season to try and get them back in the playoff hunt.

Magnolia senior Kayna Anderson was also selected second team all-state.
