Paden City freshman McKenzie Thomas earned Athlete of the Week honors after helping the Wildcats reach the state volleyball tournament

The Tyler Star News November 13, 2019 Athlete of the Week is Paden City Freshman McKenzie Thomas. During the Wildcats run for the sectional volleyball championship she proved to be one of the best players on the floor among all teams involved.

Thomas who was playing middle school ball at this time last season is now helping her high school team to a berth in this weekends state volleyball tournament. A back row player, she had 56 digs, eight kills, nine assists, 41 points and only committed six errors in 11 sets of play.

The Cats only lost two sets in the whole sectional event while playing, Magnolia, Tyler Consolidated and Ritchie County. Congratulations to McKenzie Thomas and up and coming athlete.
