Tyler Finishes Third in LKC

Tyler Consolidated's Spencer Corley finished second.

The Silver Knights boys had a successful night on Thursday, October 17 as they grabbed third place behind Ritchie County and Doddridge County in the LKC Cross Country Championships. Running the whole meet at the top of the pack, two of the Silver Knights finished in the top 10 to make first team All-LKC Conference.

Spencer Corley the Knights junior ace ran an impressive race with a 17:05.51, just getting nipped at the finish line by Ritchie Counties fourth place finisher Zyan Hardbarger 17:05.15. Just three seconds seperated the second through fifth place finishers.

Haygen Baker finished in 10th place for the Knights with a 17:41.47 to claim his spot on the LKC first place team. James Streets grabbed a second team LKC Spot for the Knights as he finished the course with a time of 18:13.52 to come in with a 17th. Also helping the Silver Knights were Austin Timmons, 19:03.87. Creed Ammons 19:25.48, Haydn Brown 19:30.12, Mason Nichols 20:58.93, and Justin Fluharty with a 25:15. 48.

The Silver Knights Girls landed in the seventh place spot as Kaisha Brown 23:26.65, Trinity Kanz 23:27.91, and Emma Paden 23:44.73 all came in with respectable times.
