Knights Sport New Unis
Tyler Girls interested in playing softball for the Silver Knights got their opportunity to show what they can do this summer. The coaches put together a great group of kids who were willing to listen and learn to take their talents to another level. Several of the girls also play volleyball, but when the softball tournaments and league play was happening you could find them on the field. The Coaches said these are some very talented athletes who love sports and put everything they can into their game to come out winners.
This summer was no exception as they won nearly everytime they took the field. It looks like softball is on the uprise in Tyler County and you can count on the Silver Knights to be a much improved team come spring of 2020. Randy Myers of Myers Funeral Home purchased these new jerseys for the girls. Randy has been sponsoring softball and baseball teams for 26 years in Sistersville and Tyler county. He’s had teams over the years with interesting names including “the Dirt Kickers” and the “Grave Diggers”. He’s been known to buy DQ sundaes for the little ones when they’d hit homeruns.
Coaches were Sam Livingston and Stan Dennis. The Tyler Knights played in the Parksburg/Marietta 18 and under league and finished with an 8-1 record.
