After the break, the Knights kept up the defense pressure and contested nearly every attempt the Rebels took at the basket, going ahead by 24 points and scoring 23 in the quarter, while holding the Rebels to 13. The Knights went to the bench often in the game as coach Rick Leach used every player, and every senior on the team scored. Coach Leach said, “The boys played with a lot of intensity tonight; they contested Ritchie’s shots and rebounded well. We also looked for openings in their defense, and we were able to get good looks near the basket. We had somewhere around 30 points in the lane, maybe more. I am excited about our overall effort tonight. We will work to carry it over the rest of the season, and into the tournaments.
