By Staff | Nov 15, 2017

Each year the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference (OVAC) honors it’s top athletes with an All-Conference team. This year the squad consisted of 13 girls from nine OVAC schools in each Class 1-5. The Class A team was represented by three members of Paden City high school’s regular and championship team.

Named to the unit were two freshmen OVAC player of the year Hope Weber, and wildcat setter Mallory Yeater.

Chosen from the six seniors on the wildcat chart was Coach Fred Kings liberio,Malayna Price. All three girls were instrumential in Paden City’s success this season, with the two freshmen looking to build on that success for the next three years.

Weber, a front row player who is intimidating when in the lineup, had over 400 kills this season and nearly 100 blocks. Yeater was the leader in sets with over 1000, plus close to four hundred assists. Price who was irreplacable in the back row ended as the top digger on the team with nearly 400.

Together they combined for nearly 900 of the Cat’s 2,400 points.

Congratulations to three outstanding volleyball players from Paden City high school.
